If the light isn't coming on you have a power problem on that circuit - and it explains why you aren't getting any stations since it needs to be on unless you are connected to cable TV.  Have you checked the fuses on the converter?

The button is a booster for when you do not have cable TV hooked up. I'm not sure if there is a fuse for it but mine lights up when pressed.

I have a 179 and I can't get any t.v reception. Living in the mountains away from any tv tower I figured that's the norm.
Here is my problem. We stayed at a KOA not long ago and they had electrical power and cable. When I hooked up I still didn't get any tv reception. I notice on the television wall plate that there is a button and a light on it. The light never lights up with the button out or in. I looked behind the plate and behind the radio/dvd player and all wire seem to be hooked up.
Wink    Has anyone else had this problem, and can you help?     John
