Ok. Thank you. I went to the Forest River website and the photos of the R pods now do show a grey roof and front end as you have remarked.

How does the paint color fade since there hasn't been warm weather for some time? Interesting. |
The blue roofs have been phased out of the R-Pod line starting with the most recent production run, they will all have the same diamond ice/greyish roofs now going forward.
Also ALL R-Pods now will have the 15" wheels on them, also starting with this most recent production run.

Ok, I'm confused. There seem to be some new models with blue tops and some with gray. Does anyone know which will be the new model? Might the Oregon models, (HRE), be gray and Indiana models blue? |
Could just be the glare from the flash making the blue top look gray? Save

The Oregon made HRE Pods will have the grey roof and a yellow swoosh on the sides, the Indiana made R-Pods will have the blue roof and should be absent the yellow swoosh.
There are a very few limited, and I mean less than 5 probably HRE R-Pods that will have the blue roof on them. They were the first ones made for the Forest River open house before production began in Oregon.
So if you're into collectors item's if you see an HRE with a blue roof or buy one of those yourself know that you have a rare Pod.

ANY R-Pod color scheme.... factory fresh or years old is great. To me, that runs from Cool Blue '17 to Techntrek's distinctive swirl pattern design, or a design I haven't spotted yet. Main thing is they all have the original rugged teardrop design with modern features that certainly revved up the copy-cat manufacturers.
It's currently feeling good to be in this Forest River subset of people who tend to help each other out. If I see a Podder somewhere out there struggling with some issue, I'm game to set out an orange cone or two, or just bring over a useful tool if desired. Plus we have this great online forum.
More often than not this season, I've received friendly waves back from the oncoming lane from a Podder, if they're looking. And it's also great to see young couples tugging their Pods, new and old down the road.
The season is close to "wound down" now, but come spring, it'll be once again time to explore some new nugget of Canada or USA that's new to us. Continued lower gas prices have been a nice bonus. Keep it safe out there, and if you've lowered your scissor jacks at a great spot, if you can, stay that extra day. Life goes by quickly.
From this near-newbie: Welcome 'Bama (and your Podpets).

We ordered a 2017.5 180. Don't care if it's Blue - or Green or Orange or Paisley! Just excited to be getting an RPod (first RV).
