Wife and I  picked up a 2011 ford F150 with a 3.5 v/6 Eco boost. What a difference from the 4.3 v/6 on the 06 Chevy . Got to test pull with the ford.

Gotta love the smell of a tow vehicle in the morning.

I'm curious how future owners will review the new F-150 with the aluminum body panels.

I read they did some testing with aluminum bodies mixed into fleet buys along with steel ones.  Sounds like users didn't know the difference.  I would think they would have seen performance/mileage differences but apparently the trucks worked/held up the same.

I want to know if it really gets 30mpg like the initial release said.

I'm thinking when it's time to upgrade my TV, I'm gonna have to take a look at The Chevy 2015 Colorado

Looks like competition for Toyota Tacoma?

If I ever got a Class C I would have to consider the Beetle Dune as toad!!

I heard them say on television that pound for pound the aluminum was stronger than steel. It sounds like a great idea time will tell.  David

Well...I bought a 2013 F 150 5 liter (302 cu in) with the aluminum panels.  The only thing I've noticed so far is the panels on the drivers door "shimmey" when I close the door.

Mileage is between 18 and 22 highway (depends on hills, winds ect.), and drops to 10 to 12 with the pod on the back.
