Welcome Erin and Dan. Wish we were in WA with you! I'm from West Seattle, left for many years, returned to live on Finn Hill just above Juanita Beach (have some Spud for me!). Built a house in Bellingham - then for many reasons have ended up near Austin, TX. It's very hot here in the summer so we bought our 176 to allow us to go anywhere we'd like without worrying about costs of rentals and finding places that take a dog. We'll probably be back on the west coast next summer. Enjoy your pod and the wonderful weather and Dungeness crab!

Welcome.  Fire away with any questions.  What have you added to your TV (tow vehicle) at this point?

I started with the prodigy p3 brake controller. I installed this before picking up the trailer. While towing the trailer the two miles home from the dealership I broke one bump stop off the rear of my truck. This was not a comforting feeling. I should note that I have a heavy leer canopy on the truck with some stuff in the back as well. After this experience I bought Firestone ride-rite airbags, new shocks, and a reese weight distribution hitch(600 pound bars). All this maybe overkill but that is the kind of guy I am. I also flushed the transmission fluid as well as changed the filter in the tranny. I keep good tires and brakes on my vehicles so I should be all set. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Prodigy, good, WDH, good, tranny fluid, good.  20 steps ahead of most.  Does the Reese include sway control?

Welcome.  Unfortunately you missed our Rpod roundup in Seaside Oregon, last month.  Had 23 Rpods and another 13 Forest River products for a total of 74 people.  Had a ball.  Hopefully you can join us next summer.  Keep an eye on this forum or the FROG forum for all Forest River products.  Safe Travels.

Welcome!  Where are you located in Illinois?  I worked in the Chicago Loop for 35 years, living in Lansing, IL and across the state line in Schererville, IN.  Our daughter and one son live in New Lenox and Orland Hills, respectively.
