Can anyone tell me HOW to take down the mini-blinds?  Confused

I am putting up curtains at each end of the bed, and with the valance board in the way, I just can figure out how the blinds are attached to the wall.  Is it possible to take the blinds out of the bracket they are in, and just leave the bracket?  (If so, how?)
THANKS!

I had to fix a valance on my 176T, so if your's are similar I might be able to help. There are 2 small levers that need to be opened to the right. Sneak a finger up between the front of the blinds and the valance, at the very top, and slide it along from one end. About 1/3 of the way across, you should feel a small (very small) protrusion; that is the lever. Slide the lever to the right (same for the one near the other end). then slide the whole unit towards you just a little. the unit should be free of the bracket.

If you can't get it, let me know and I'll take / post pictures.... It is like everything else... Impossible, until you know how to do it, then it is trivial.

Good Luck.

Thanks E Train.  I just got back from my son's wedding in Florida.  I'm anxious to try your suggestion to see if it works.  I would expect that the blinds are the same in all the R-Pods.  I would just leave the bracket if it wasn't such a tight squeeze between the blinds and the small curtain rod.

It is easy to remove everything.  I had the entire header removed for a while until I installed curtains.

Tech, how did you remove the header?  It seems well attached to the wall to me.  I did find (feel) the lever about 1/3 the way across as E Train described.  I can't get it to budge though.  Maybe I should put more oomph behind it!

Hodge, there are angle brackets at each end of the valence, two screws each as I recall. They are at a bit of an angle, but with a 2-3 inch bit in the driver, they came out easily. The little screws are less than 1/2 inch. Then there are the brackets that anchor the blinds with the little levers. They are fixed to the window frame with screws too. Remove them. I then replaced the valences with the same brackets and screws. Then we used spring loaded rods to support the curtains.

Oh no, you answered better than I would have.  Glad you did.  I would have said something closer to "ugh, brackets on wall, turn screws, fall off wall".  Confused

And I'll add that those levers may require the additional oomph. Both of mine came off easy, but went on very tight.
