I had to fix a valance on my 176T, so if your's are similar I might be able to help. There are 2 small levers that need to be opened to the right. Sneak a finger up between the front of the blinds and the valance, at the very top, and slide it along from one end. About 1/3 of the way across, you should feel a small (very small) protrusion; that is the lever. Slide the lever to the right (same for the one near the other end). then slide the whole unit towards you just a little. the unit should be free of the bracket. If you can't get it, let me know and I'll take / post pictures.... It is like everything else... Thanks E Train. I just got back from my son's wedding in Florida. I'm anxious to try your suggestion to see if it works. I would expect that the blinds are the same in all the R-Pods. Tech, how did you remove the header? It seems well attached to the wall to me. I did find (feel) the lever about 1/3 the way across as E Train described. I can't get it to budge though. Hodge, there are angle brackets at each end of the valence, two screws each as I recall. They are at a bit of an angle, but with a 2-3 inch bit in the driver, they came out easily. The little screws are less than 1/2 inch. Then there are the brackets that anchor the blinds with the little levers. They are fixed to the window frame with screws too. Remove them. I then replaced the valences with the same brackets and screws.
