The door contact magnets that actuate the alarm are on the upper left portion of the door and body of the refrigerator. When I opened and lifted up on the door I noticed quite a bit of play. The fix was easy......there is an adjusting nut on the lower part of the bottom door hinge. I adjusted the nut upwards removing the play, and also adjusted the support arm upwards for a snug fit.

No more beeping. As a test I opened the door and left it open. After about 2 minutes the beeping started as it is supposed to. Immediately upon closing the door the beeping now stops.

I have also had the very same trouble, but, didn't realized the door was adjustable. Thanks for posting this information, very helpful.

Welcome, and congratulations on your RP-179 acquisition! Thumbs Up

We had a similar issue, but different outcome. After a week long campout in our new 179 the frig started beeping in battery and gas. Went home and tried electric. Still beeping. Stored pod for a week with the battery disconnected. Took it to RV repairman. He couldn't find the problem. Camped a week after that and had no problem. Mechanic and I suspect when I disconnected the battery and all power the fridge reset itself.
Welcome to this brilliant group of experience.
