Bought the Pod last fall; I'm 47 now. I grew up tent camping. When I was married I took my 2 boys tent camping quite a bit.  The ex was not a camper. Now that I'm Ms. Independence, I can go wherever and do whatever I want. I chose RPod. Woot!

The wife is 61 and I'm 57.
We did like some people and started out with a tent then got a "pop up" then moved up to a 1976 Motor home! We thought that's was it till we saw the "POD" 3 years ago and been enjoying it the most !!!!

I was 50, on the verge of sending my son off to college, and decided I'd had my fill of tent camping. I'm sooooo loving being clean, dry, warm, and comfy cozy in my Pod!

I am 72. I have been RV,ing for about 17 years. I full timed for 15 of those years.
I just got a 178 and have not taken it out for its first shake down camp out. My TV is a 2004 Dodge 2500, with a lot of Gale Banks goodies. It was used to pull a 30 ft toy hauler with my motorcycle in it. I recently moved in with my kids, but still have that wander lust in me. I ride a 2010 Moto Guzzi Griso and love to take very long trips.
I now need to figure out how to pack the rig with the needed supply's. I think that will be the biggest challenge for me.
Hope to be able to contribute to this forum when I can.

My husband and I have been camping for 39 years. We have had conversion vans, a Class C, an ALiner pop up, a 29 ft. Camper trailer and then last year we bought a used 177 RPod.  Pete is 75 and I am 63. We plan on camping for quite some time. Now that we have been cross country camping twice, we plan on using the RPod up and down the east coast. We love to camp in the Keys.

Since others have been mentioning camping history, and I only posted my age earlier...

Started backpacking when I was about 12.  Converted to "ultralight" backpacking around 2001, cutting my pack weight from 45 pounds to 22 for a weekend trip (including water).  This probably influenced my decision to get the pod.

Started camping in popups when I was 14.  Parents bought one and then we learned to set it up while on a 5 week trip around the US.  Continued trips with the fam until I moved out.  Started my own family in a popup about 12 years ago, then the pod.  So about 27 years in campers with a few years off in the middle.

I'm 48 and my wife is 35.  We've both been campers our whole lives, either with families or through Boy and Girl Scouts.   My Dad started me off young when he built me a folding canvas and wood crib so that I could start camping at the ripe old age of 6 months.

Wife and I have been camping for 43 years now and started with tents then popup, cabover, trailer, 31f class a then we went smaller, bought a T@B then traded it for our new RP 172. This is the greatest little camper I have seen.
I am 68 and wife 73 and we plan on camping for another 20 or so.
