Thanks, first I will look in the outside storage for the access panel. Then I will try under the bed.

A simple fix once you get to the valves, no need for Camping World. Lift the mattress, possibly remove some screws, lift up the plywood. Leave the screws out.

I started doing some things myself since it is a significant 2+ hour drive to get to the dealer where I purchased the R-Pod. Besides, after seeing the quality of some things, I decided I could do better by doing it myself. I haven't tackled things like wheel bearings yet, but that will likely be soon. My mods list some of the things I have done.

Camping world is near me with a two month waiting time just to get it on their lot!

First, find the location of your hot water heater. On the outside, you can easily see where it is. Then look inside at that location. On the 179, it is under the queen bed in front. I don't know where it is located on the 178. There should be some sort of access panel. When you remove it, you will see the valves. The top and bottom should be open (parallel to the lines). The bypass valve should be closed (perpendicular to the line). If it is open, then hot and cold water mix and all you get is lukewarm water. During winterization, you want to close the top and bottom valves to isolate the water heater and open the bypass valve. This allows you to drain the water heater tank to keep the antifreeze from corroding the anode rod (and from wasting 6 gallons of antifreeze filling the heater). It allows antifreeze to flow through the hot as well as the cold water lines to protect them.

Sometimes, you just need to do things yourself.

The cross over valve should be right next to the water heater between the hot and cold lines.

The cross over valve, I cannot find where they are located on my 2016 Rpod 178.  My next step is to look under the bed, have to remove the plywood there.  All I get is warm water, dealer looked at it twice, said it was ok.  Suggestions?
