While you're waiting for your decals to peel, you can watch my SECOND set of decals self distruct:
After four hours of work with a heat gun on Sunday afternoon, they're now gone, leaving a very difficult to remove sticky residue. GooGone is working, but with a lot of elbow grease.

Oh P.S. the Pod is covered with a Forest River Pod cover from November to late April.

So far I have had no problem with Decals peeling. Ours is a 2011 RP-172. The build date is 10/2010. The only thing I do is wax it twice a year with Magauries Carnubra wax. I don't think the wax makes any difference, my guess is the bad old Sun. I also talked to Susan and got an additional "Frog peeking around the corner " and put it on the upper right corner on the rear glass. It's kinda different and only cost 20 or so bucks.

I've gone through two sets of decals on my 2009 RPOD (replaced under warranty). The decals on the curves have split and then started to peel off. The decals on the straight sides are original and still in mint condition.
This spring, they're looking very bad once again. Frankly, I've had enough and am just going to take the decals on the curves off once the weather warms up.

I don't know for sure but it might be the surface. I think the pod has a jell coat finish. I have see the decals on fibreglass boats come off too. Cars and aluminum sided trailers have baked enamel finishes.

We removed our front decals just a few months after purchasing our 177 last year.So far the rest of the decals are ok. I don't miss the ones on the front. The POD looks fine without them It would look rather barren if all the decals were removed. If that happens I will be tempted to pay an artist I know to paint a mural on the POD, or perhaps a design similar to the decals.

During the winter season our pod decals curled on the driver side ,which is flat, in 2 places, I removed them and wont replace them.
