I went ahead and modified the AC cover. Mine is now white. I sanded the cover with 220 grit sandpaper first to make sure the paint would adhere better. I chose Valspar Plastic Paint, Gloss White. It looks great. I'll post a picture in my mods.

When I still rode motorcycle, I knew a guy that had sky high handlebars, affectionately known as ape hangers. When I asked him how he liked them he said "my wrists and hand fall asleep within 15 minutes but ya got to sacrifice to look cool".

I never did understand why they changed to black.  There is a reason RV roofs and covers are white.

Just the type of spray paint that works on plastic. Rust-oleum brand. By not painting the frames on the fridge vents the slight off color paint on the vents seems to blend better.

I think this is a modification I will be making before next summer. Right now, with winter coming on, it isn't so vital.

Brilliantly simple mod that could benefit many of us. Go to a mall someday on a blazing hot day and touch the surface of a black or dark blue vehicle and then touch a white or silver one. That will drive the point home.
