With regard to Teflon tape, I tried some Blue Monster tape for a sprinkler issue. That stuff is great. It’s a tad thicker than run of the mill white teflon and seems to mold better.

I am happy to report the drip sealed after a few days and another push on the wrench. I had drenched the threads in silicone lube before hand.
