A quick "hey". I still take care of approving new members, and removing spam (we had a bad one a few days ago). Hard to believe the forum passed its 16 year anniversary in November! With over 14,000 members.
The last time I checked in I'm not sure if we'd made our most-recent camper purchase. My fiance and I bought a 2019 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel, half-ton towable, in 2023. Along with a F150 which I love as a tow vehicle. We made a big trip April a year ago to Texas to see the eclipse, and many smaller trips. But no big camping trip this year because... We're getting married in 2 months . We're doing a small family-only wedding at a state park on Maryland's Eastern Shore, hanging out for a few days at one of our favorite campgrounds. Then we're doing a big reception for family and friends a month later at Wolf Trap on the outskirts of DC. It's been a real eye-opener about how much work goes into these events! When I married my ex almost 29 years ago we kept it small, all at one venue, and she wanted to do all of the planning. So there was little for me to do. Not this time, yowza. Oh, and my wedding ring is supposed to be delivered by FedEx on Tuesday. We made a road trip to Philly to order fiance's ring a few weeks ago. Waiting for that to be finished. Then in August we're going on a 2-week cruise from the UK to Spain and Portugal, where we'll see an eclipse while we're off the coast. My 3rd eclipse. With multiple family and friends joining, too. When we first booked this last year we hadn't made any wedding plans yet. But now this cruise will be our honeymoon. We're still going to maintain 2 houses for now. She lives near DC and I'm almost at the Mason-Dixon line. I might move in with her and rent mine out. We'll see. We WERE looking at houses so we could combine and sell both of ours, then last year happened (she works at NOAA). Invoking the 3Gs forum rule on myself here... My younger daughter has been with American Airlines for over 2 years, she's a mechanic at Reagan. She enjoys it and so does her bank account. My older daughter is still at home. I keep nudging her towards the edge of the nest and she keeps resisting. It might take a bigger push in the near future to get those wings open. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm happy to see so many long-time members still active.
