    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=217" rel="nofollow">techntrek</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 16377<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 19 Jan 2026 at 3:28am<br /><br />A quick "hey".&nbsp; I still take care of approving new members, and removing spam (we had a bad one a few days ago).&nbsp; Hard to believe the forum passed its 16 year anniversary in November!&nbsp; With over 14,000 members.<div><br></div><div>The last time I checked in I'm not sure if we'd made our most-recent camper purchase.&nbsp; My fiance and I bought a 2019 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel, half-ton towable, in 2023.&nbsp; Along with a F150 which I love as a tow vehicle.&nbsp; We made a big trip April a year ago to Texas to see the eclipse, and many smaller trips.&nbsp; But no big camping trip this year because...</div><div><br></div><div>We're getting married in 2 months&nbsp;<img src="https://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" />.&nbsp; We're doing a small family-only wedding at a state park on Maryland's Eastern Shore, hanging out for a few days at one of our favorite campgrounds.&nbsp; Then we're doing a big reception for family and friends a month later at Wolf Trap on the outskirts of DC.&nbsp; It's been a real eye-opener about how much work goes into these events!&nbsp; When I married my ex almost 29 years ago we kept it small, all at one venue, and she wanted to do all of the planning.&nbsp; So there was little for me to do.&nbsp; Not this time, yowza.&nbsp; Oh, and my wedding ring is supposed to be delivered by FedEx on Tuesday.&nbsp; We made a road trip to Philly to order fiance's ring a few weeks ago.&nbsp; Waiting for that to be finished.</div><div><br></div><div>Then in August we're going on a 2-week cruise from the UK to Spain and Portugal, where we'll see an eclipse while we're off the coast.&nbsp; My 3rd eclipse.&nbsp; With multiple family and friends joining, too.&nbsp; When we first booked this last year we hadn't made any wedding plans yet.&nbsp; But now this cruise will be our honeymoon.</div><div><br></div><div>We're still going to maintain 2 houses for now.&nbsp; She lives near DC and I'm almost at the Mason-Dixon line.&nbsp; I might move in with her and rent mine out.&nbsp; We'll see.&nbsp; We WERE looking at houses so we could combine and sell both of ours, then last year happened (she works at NOAA).&nbsp; Invoking the 3Gs forum rule on myself here...</div><div><br></div><div>My younger daughter has been with American Airlines for over 2 years, she's a mechanic at Reagan.&nbsp; She enjoys it and so does her bank account.&nbsp; My older daughter is still at home.&nbsp; I keep nudging her towards the edge of the nest and she keeps resisting.&nbsp; It might take a bigger push in the near future to get those wings open.</div><div><br></div><div>I hope everyone is doing well.&nbsp; I'm happy to see so many long-time members still active.</div>]]>
