Did you know that if your 12v system goes out you loose: lights, fan, furnace and the fridge. EVEN WHEN HOOKED UP TO 110v! I found out the hard way.
In the breaker box there are 2 large fuses. These protect your system from hooking up the battery wrong. I did! Just a spit second and poof. Both fuses went. I forgot all about that until the lights started getting dim and the fan slowed down. So I shut off the lights, fan and the TV amplifier thinking everything was shut off. The furnace wouldn't come on (58*)! Then I noticed the fridge shut off and wouldn't come back on. CRAP! No heat and I forgot to bring a pillow. So I had to use my 1 and only blanket as a pillow. No problem I went to sleep dressed...including my jacket! In the morning I got new fuses and 2 extras! But, I did have a good time camping and showing the Pod to people.  Terry |
