    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=2" rel="nofollow">Guests</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1653<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 19 Mar 2011 at 5:41am<br /><br />Sorry to hear about the problem <img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley18.gif" height="18" width="18" border="0" alt="Ouch" title="Ouch" />.&nbsp; Yep, the 12v stuff always runs on 12v.&nbsp; When hooked to commercial power, the 12v is supplied by the power supply located behind the distibution panel (where the circuit breakers and fuses are).&nbsp; When not hooked up, it comes from the battery.<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>You might want to do a simple test to make sure the power supply wasn't damaged in the reversed polarity.&nbsp; Unhook the battery and then plug into 120v power and make sure the 12v stuff still works.&nbsp; Hopefully the fuses did their job fast enough that no damage was done.&nbsp; Even if the power supply is broke, the 12v stuff will still work off of the battery....until it runs down.</DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=410" rel="nofollow">TerryM</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1653<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Mar 2011 at 7:33pm<br /><br />Did you know that if your 12v system goes out you loose: lights, fan, furnace and the fridge.&nbsp; EVEN WHEN HOOKED UP TO 110v!&nbsp; I found out the hard way.&nbsp; <br><br>In the breaker box there are 2 large fuses.&nbsp; These protect your system from hooking up the battery wrong.&nbsp; I did!&nbsp; Just a spit second and poof.&nbsp; Both fuses went.&nbsp; I forgot all about that until the lights started getting dim and the fan slowed down.&nbsp; So I shut off the lights, fan and the TV amplifier thinking everything was shut off.&nbsp; The furnace wouldn't come on (58*)!&nbsp; Then I noticed the fridge shut off and wouldn't come back on. CRAP!&nbsp; <br><br>No heat and I forgot to bring a pillow.&nbsp; So I had to use my 1 and only blanket as a pillow.&nbsp;&nbsp; No problem I went to sleep dressed...including my jacket!&nbsp; In the morning I got new fuses and 2 extras!<br><br>But, I did have a good time camping and showing the Pod to people.<img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><br><br>Terry<br>]]>
