I bought a used Rpod 178 a I am an issue. The Black water tank fills up way to quickly. Yes, I did have enough water in it along with a treatment. After cleaning it out and looking down thru the toilet opening I see something directly under the toilet. Its about 8" wide and rectangular in shape. Does anyone know what this is? I did a search and the toilet is a Thetford model 31647. I originally thought that piece was part of the toilet but it isn't, I'm guessing it is part of the black water tank.

Any ideas?

Ok, I finally got an inspection camera and stuck it down the throat of the toilet. What I am seeing is a 45 degree pipe fitting angled towards the outlet pipe of the black water tank. Ive never seen this before on RV's!!

I would fill the black water tank via the toilet until the water is up to the base of the toilet.  Open the black water tank drain and observe what comes out.  If nothing, take a snake through the drain and see if you can work anything loose, repeat at the toilet opening as well.  Repeat the filling process and drain again to see what comes out.
