A trick that may help - put your right hand on the bottom of the steering wheel. Then move your hand in the direction you want the pod to go. Also remember it is better to pull forward a few feet and try again than steer harder and harder if you are missing your mark. And never take your eye off of the pod - it can jackknife quicker than you think.

Cool Hi Fellow Podders!  I have had my R-pod 179 for a little less than a year and after a bumpy start (someone at the factory forgot a pressure washer on the inside cold water line which resulted in a slow flooding my brand new cabinets)

But I am off & camping!  Tennessee in the fall , The cool Florida springs in the blazing summer, just got back from Tallahassee with plans for Salt Springs in April & then the Florida Caverns (yes, caves in Florida - who'd a thunk?)

Single & camping with the dog... and the only real trouble I am still having is backing up the Pod by myself!  Thank heavens for the innate kindness of my fellow campers who never fail to come to my aid in this endeavor!  Still practicing - not giving up!  You see I have never backed up a trailer in my life till a year ago so all in all its coming along - just like life a work in progress!

Wondering if any of the Podders out there belong to Sisters on the Fly & if you could give me a review.

Thanks...

AmberKate & RIP Little Tootsie -
