I had to replace the outlet (end of the cable with the screw collar) after a few years. It got touchier and touchier until it just wouldn't make contact anymore. If it is turned to its locked position (ignoring the lock collar) and you don't have power, it is bad.

Doug, you were right about the plug at the inlet connector. I took it back to the dealer, and they could not duplicate the no power iussue. I brought it home to do a few modifications inside, and when I plugged in the cable abd secured it with the screw collar, I didn't have power . I tuned the cable end to the left while plugged in, and I had power. I don't see any evidence of any arcing on any of the prongs on the trailer side, so I'm wondering if there may be a loss of tension on one or more of the connections in the plug. The Pod is brand new and the cable has only been used on 4 trips. I wouldn't think it should matter how the plug is turned in the socket, the plug connectors should be able to apply enough tension in any position. Bad power cable?

That 10/3 romex should go straight to the top 30A breaker in the panel ('177 here). The factory split the romex and peeled off the ground for about 2 feet before the panel to go to a standalone negative/ground bus bar, might check they didn't bust a hot or neutral when cutting it. And don't expect ANY electrical connections to be properly torqued and secure from the factory. I've lost count.

Doug...I did remove the connector on the outside wall to inspect the connections on each of the wires (10/3 romex by the way) in the connector to make sure they were fully seated ant tight, however I did not closely inspect each of the pins. Could be the culprit.

If you still had it I would say to check the pins on the twist-lock connection on the outside wall of the pod. One of them is probably bent. You may even see evidence of arcing on it.

I should say that there is no power available at the end of the 12/3 or 10/3 wire from the inlet that powers the main breaker.

No, there is no power to the main breaker from the coax leading from the inlet connector.

You don't have, at least from the factory, an inverter. An inverter makes 120v from 12v, (in our case). Your pod does have a converter, which makes 12v from 120v (again, in our case).
From your description, I would suspect a tripped circuit breaker in the power center, or, the 30A main breaker isn't seated fully. |

I had an intersting electrical failure on my new 181G this weekend that left me with no shore power. When I arrived at an RV park, I plugged into the pedestal using my Surgeguard inline with my power cable to the Pod. When the Surgeguard tripped after the normal 2 minutes, I checked it to make sure that I had 120v on my power cable to the Pod, no problem. I went into the Pod to turn on the AC, and no power. Turned out to be no power at all in the Pod. I checked at the power cable going into the power inlet and I had 120v. I removed the cover to the inverter, and I had no power from the inlet to the 120v bus bar. The only thing I can think of is an interruption in the cable from the inlet to the bus bar. Since it's still in warranty I did not go any further, went ahead and camped two nights (in Central Florida heat with no AC) and dropped it off at my dealer this morning. Waiting to find out what they find......
