Rotated spare with plain steel rim and new tire onto trailer and tried to mount aluminum rim on back spare tire carrier . Aluminum rim will not mount on the carrier.Another smart idea by forest river engineering.

I wouldn't worry about rotating the tires.  If the tire pressure is kept at max and the axle is aligned correctly any odd tread wear will let you know that something has gone wrong, and that may not happen for many many miles.  We put over 15,000 miles on our pod's tires (still in the factory position) and had just a little odd wear at that point.

Trailer tires age out before they wear out.  After 6 years it is time for new ones even if the tread looks good.

I agree, when we traded our 171,after five years and multiple trips up and down to Florida and North Carolina, our tire still looked almost new.

I agree that there is almost never a need to rotate pod tires, but I am also curious what is causing the aluminum rim not to fit on the spare holder.
