My wife & I don't think we'll use the stovetop in the camper (smell, cleanup, etc.); we're more likely to use an external grill. I was thinking of purchasing a small portable gas grill that I could use outside and stow away when not in use.

Has anyone added an external propane line to a location not on the tongue?

Yes we have. We put ours underneath the tongue as it was just a short run to the tanks. I had a 10' hose with a quick-connect on the tank side. Works great. I don't think it would be a problem to run a hose from the tanks under the belly to any other location that you would like. With the 10' length of hose, we can position the cook stove far enough from the Pod that we don't have to concern ourselves with grease from cooking sticking to the sides of the Pod. Safe Travels.

Remember you need a low pressure stove if tying into the pods supply lines AFTER the regulator. and a high pressure stove if you are tying in before the regulator.

Always good advice from Furpod.  Actually we have a Weber portable BBQ with its own pressure regulator.  Took high pressure line to Weber and used its regulator.  This is what we use.  http://www.amazon.com/Weber-121020-Go-Anywhere-Charcoal-Grill/dp/B00004RALJ/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1433865245&sr=8-15&keywords=webber+grills

All good.  Safe Travels.
