The wife and I didn't like how the original tv didn't tilt down towards the bed or dinette so I installed a new tv mount the day before our first big trip. This one was from Menards and has a folding arm with tilt. Now we're thinking of adding a bigger tv next year!
I ripped and routered a piece of 1x6 down to about 4 1/4 inches wide and transferred the mounting holes from the original tv mount to the board. That way I didn't have to drill more holes and risk damaging any wires, plus it lowered the tv a little bit. It turned out nice and we're happy with the result. At the end of the season we'll take the board off and stain it to dress it up.   It sticks out a little bit more but its not a problem, we still want a new tv for next season. It looks like a 24" would fit nice.  |
