Our furnace stank for a few days of use, then it is okay.

Ours did the same thing on the 1st outing at 4am when the furnace kicked in.
I'm assuming its just manufacturing dust and oils burning off of the furnace. I haven't tried it since. I probably should though. At least we know the smoke detector does what it should!! I could not even see any smoke in the trailer when it went off...

Hi there - just got my 182G at the end of April and have had her out on a couple of trips so far. Last weekend, I camped on the coast near Bodega Bay, and it was pretty cold at night. I kicked on the furnace and the smoke detector immediately started going off. I killed it and then when I got home I tried again in the driveway, and the same thing happened.
Is this just a matter of it being new, and I need to let it run for a bit, or is this something wrong that I need to call the dealer about?
