I have a 2014 Rpod 178 and I recently noticed the plastic insert on the black roof rail has started cracking down the middle. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this on their Pod?

I'm talking about the black metal rail that connects the roof with the sides of the Pod. In the middle of that rail is a black plastic insert that runs through the length of the roof.

I'm thinking the insert is cosmetic but I can't be sure. I have not noticed any leaking in the Pod yet.

Thanks,

Thanks Techntrek!  That's exactly what I was looking for.  This one actually looks a little sturdier than the ones Forest River put on the Pod.

I guess the trim doesn't do well in the sun. Did you use one continuous strip from front to back? If so, how long was needed?

there are tabbs at each end; take those off as the strip goes under them.  yes, one continuous strip front to back.  i didnt cut until installed.  i bought a 100 foot roll and had plenty left for later or other areas if needed.  hogone
