It would seem like the right thing to do, do you'all deploy your POD stabilizers when it's sitting in storage?

For our 171, no. Since the bed is in the back there's almost no reason to go into the rear 1/3, so it won't tip up. No need for front stabilizers for any model in storage (and the early pods didn't even come with them).

I would say no also. My reason is because I store mine near my house on relatively soft ground. Tires sink just a bit and it's hanging up on the stabilizers. Would do the same if tire went flat on you.

North of 49 the frost goes down min. of 3.5 ft. If it thaws and refreezes and the jacks were down, the ground would push some of the jacks up thereby putting pressure on the ones that would not be pushed up. (If this makes any sense.) So I've been told not to put the jacks down, it might put stress on the body frame with the jacks raising at different times and heights. And lets not talk about the real spring thaw......

Yes. I park it behind my house for the Winter, block the wheels, and put the stabilizers down on bricks to protect my patio.

I live in Florida and do not put them down. This helps prevent ants and other pest from entering
the pod . I use bug spray on wheels and tongue jack to prevent pests from using them to enter and establish a nest. I had carpenter ants try to establish a home in previous TT. They were hard to get rid of. |

Oh wow, I didn't think of that...pests could very well be a problem here in Southern Texas as well.
