Ok. Neither me or the better half can back a trailer with any precision. It's embarrassing. In the field it's ok. There's usually room for back and forthing. At home, it's a tighter squeeze and it's on a slight grade.
So, ideas? Powered dollies are spendy. I've seen DIY versions. That might be fun to try. Anyway, what do you do to get your pod in its place at home?

Depending on your TV, you might be able to mount a receiver on the front. Stick a ball in it and then you have a very precise way to "back" up the camper with it in full view, and with the steering wheels so close to the ball.

Yup. That's a good idea. I've also heard doing to the front of riding mower or an atv. For us, none work.

Since they is no one around to watch or snicker, I take as much time as it takes. Back and forth and back again and again. When I finally do get it exactly where I want it and how I want it, I crack a beer and congratulate myself. fred

My moms uncle had a ball mounted on the front of his Caddy to back in their Airstream because he had a hard time turning around to see to back the trailer in. He also had a pull-through garage, had doors on both ends. Goose

Practice, practice, practice.
That being said I sometimes use my Kubota with a ball attachment on the front end loader just because it makes it so darn easy, don't even have to get off to hook/unhook. Pull through garage- I if I ever build a house it will have a garage with doors on both ends! |

Ditto on the practice thing. Find a empty parking lot and a couple of cone and practice, you will be surprised how soon you'll get good at it. I don't know anyone that was born with that ability we all had to learn. I did at a young age on the farm, but you CAN teach a old dog new tricks. Try it. By the way good mirrors will help, although you can tow a rpod without mirror extensions good ones do make it easier. Better visibility . Good luck
Moe PS I also painted yellow lines on the floor in my shed, just stay inside the lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
