Over the past few months we researched R.Pods and talked to dealers. Lots of help and advice came our way from the Owners Forum. Thanks to all. We appreciated it very much. First trip is a local overnighter in September then head south in October. We bought a 179 and love it. Wendee is busy setting it up to her specs. It is small (we used to have a 24 ft. 5er) but looks great. We hope to be active Podders on this site and are looking forward to our travels. Now pulling with a new Honda Pilot.

Further to our intro., we have decided to call our unit "On Golden Pod" if the name is not already taken. We have a Golden Retriever.

Welcome, if it hasn't been said yet.  I know how you feel, we came from a popup which was 25' when open (plus a side slide for the table).  Much more cozy in the pod!

Welcome! We too came from a tent trailer that had king beds on both ends. Now it's just my husband and I traveling together with our 178. Our trailer is cozy, but also feels quite comfortable. We got our trailer last October and have done several weekend trips. We leave next Saturday on a three week trip so that will be the real test! Tongue We're looking forward to the time together and seeing parts of this beautiful country. Enjoy your trailer and happy camping!

I appreciate the smallness, having owned larger units.   Would I have appreciated it when my two sons were 6'+ teenagers?  Nope....
We tow with an FJ Cruiser- being very off road capable and short wheelbase it will turn very sharp. You wouldn't believe the places I've snaked into and out of as a result.  Plus I can get into campsites when many have to drive on by-   that is great when the only site left somewhere won't handle a large trailer with a large truck!
