Hi all! I'm a "Pod hopeful but not yet" lady from the Redwoods along the far Northern California coast. I have been dreaming of a getting a small light trailer for a few years. I compete in the sport of dog agility with my Keeshonden. I have 3 Keesies; one is a pup now but growing fast! It will be ever so nice to be able to stay in our own home on wheels at competition sites. Especially as finding a hotel room with 3 dogs now will be a challenge. I live in pretty country, ocean and redwoods, and would love to do a few camping trips around here as well.

The time is right and my research into the fiberglass world has gotten serious. The R-pod 177 is looking very good to me. Well, on-line at least. I found a dealer with r-pods along my route to my next competition in July, and will be stopping to see them in person. The dealer also has T@bs. While I don't think these will give me what I want, it will be helpful to see these as well.

So that's me! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed as I realize just how much I don't know about RV'ing.  I have already done a lot of reading here and will be doing much much more *laugh*.

Welcome from Bainbridge Island, WA. Just finished almost a 6K mile trip in our 177. It worked great and the next time our dogs are going too. The 177 is perfect, but I might be a little predigest.

Welcome.  This is a great place to get all of your questions answered, and all the support you can imagine if you get a pod.

Welcome!
Enjoy your shopping adventure and I hope it ends every well!  I bought my 178 last December and have only taken it out to the Mojave desert for off-roading adventures.  Great fun but I now I need some rivers and trees!
Up until then I've been tent-camping for over 30 years so it is absolutely wonderful to have a bathroom and shelter from the elements!
It was nice to bake a cherry pie in the convection oven (it allows foil)! My dog appreciates it too.
I chose the 178 because I wanted the queen bed and the u-shaped dinette.
Next week I will be heading up the CA coast and hope to end up in the Jedediah Smith SP! :)
I just can't wait to get to those redwoods!

Hope you find a great deal.  I am sure you'll be happy!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I forgot to mention my TV, currently, is a 2003 Mazda Tribute. I plan to get a new SUV at some point. If towing turns out to be too much for my not so young Tribute, that someday will happen sooner rather than later. I do need to pass through mountains (small mountains, not like the Sierras or Rockies!) to get anywhere from here.

Patti'sPod, you will be driving right past me on your way to Jedediah! Enjoy your trip, I love the Redwoods. That's why I moved here last year Smile
