Hi

We just upgraded from a Tear Drop camper to our R-Pod 171. Looking forward to many many nights in the camper. At least with this one we can stand up in- I guess that is a bonus.

One quick question - I did not notice any level bubbles on the trailer. Is it necessary to level the camper? We had to level the Tear Drop due to the Air conditioner.

Well we are looking forward to taking out the camper this weekend. We just purchased the camper on Thursday.

Hi and welcome to the group!  You don't have to have it level, but you should be close I guess.  I have had mine pretty far from level and didn't have any problems.

If it is to far from level you may roll out of bed.

not perfectly level, but doesn't it need to be fairly level for the fridge to work properly?  I thought I read that somewhere before.  I always try to get it close, but never perfect it seems.  I carry a small  level with me and just put on the floor for leveling side to side (use blocks), and then the jack in front for front to back leveling

Welcome and enjoy your 171 ... we definitely enjoy ours!  Yes, you need to level the Pod out when you park it, side-to-side and front-to-back, as close to level as you can get it without spending an hour on it.  We use the same process as Hogone described above.

Welcome.  The only issue is the fridge, as mentioned above.  But it doesn't need to be perfect.  In a campground I'll pull out a level and get it fairly close (but usually tilt it slightly forward to allow the shower to drain properly), but there have been stops at places like Flying J where I'll just find the most level blacktop I can find and what we get is what we get.  Twice we've had to flip our pillows to the other side of the bed so our feet were downhill.  When I do use a level I'll put it on the floor inside the door to figure out side-to-side inclination but will put it on the tongue as I level it front-to-back.

I used a 2 ft level and leveled our pod in the garage as best I could, then I applied the the stick on levelers I got at walley world where i could see them. Made two 2x6 three high to level side to side. We have used it a few times and it works good and fast too
