Apparently, two forums for these discussions...so I'll post here as well...

After 6 years with a pop-up tent trailer, we purchased our first travel travel trailer a 2014 r-pod 177.  Picked it up on a Wednesday and left on Thursday for a 15 day trip into the Rockies.  We purchased it from Tom's Camperland in Surprise, AZ which, while a 2.5 hour drive from our home in Tucson, was a great decision.  Not only were they 3K less than the Tucson dealerships "best" price, the service was great.  They knew I was leaving the following day and they made sure everything was camping ready...even sanitized the fresh water system for us.

Towing with our Nissan Xterra, the trip went very well.  We had only one interior issue with the r-pod when one of the blinds fell out of the wall on the second day.  Of course we plan on curtains instead so will not be re-installing the blinds.  I did have some intermittent trouble with the brakes where the pod would pull hard to the right whenever the brakes were applied...not sure if it is a brake our power issue or me not having the controller adjusted properly.  I'll keep an eye on it and it may need to be serviced...we'll see.

Been home for 10 days and have been making small modifications to the pod, mostly ideas from the forums.  I'll post those in the appropriate forum, later today.  Picture below is from Woods Lake campground, southwest of Telluride.

Welcome.  Pulling hard to one side usually means one of the pod's brakes needs to be adjusted, but it can also mean one of the two brakes isn't getting power at all.

The xterra does fine towing, but we do have a weight distribution hitch.  Also, keep the speed at about 65 or your fuel economy will be ridiculously poor...even going 65 we were only getting a little better than half the mileage we get when not towing...
