   Wildflores,  we did the same thing . We purchased a R-pod and did 43 nights and 5000 miles with our dog Max for a year and had a great time, so this fall we sold the r-pod for a 1000.00 less than we paid for it. (great resale value) and purchased a Forest River Surveyor SP 240 ,  could have gone to the 28 but this is plenty big for us and the bathroom is huge plus it has the outside kitchen which is wonderful.
