Just wanted to start a list of things we find useful to prep in advance for podding Smile

1) Use bamboo skewers. They are inexpensive, disposable and biodegradable.
2) Soak bamboo skewers in advance (at home) and then freeze in a ziplock bag. Store frozen skewers in the pod freezer ready for use
3) If smoking, soak smoking chips in advance and store in ziplocks in freezer ready to use  Wink
4) Bring a real heat resistant glove such as a suede welder's glove (a pair is even better).  Even if you think you'll never need it, the one time you do, you'll be really grateful that you have it.
5) Bring a pair of professional heavy-weight rimmed cookie sheets. They serve as trays for moving food and utensils in and out of the pod, don't melt in the heat and can be used to keep food warm.
6) For extended trips, provided it's not too cost prohibitive, bring along an extra grill grate if you plan on cooking something messy.  Sometimes it's not easy to soak and wash a messy grate on the road.

more to come!

7) Put your steak or chicken in a freezer bag with marinade and put in the freezer.  Then pull it out and put in the fridge when heading out.  It will take a day or 2 (or sometimes 3) to thaw but as it does it is self-marinating, and once thawed it is ready to grill.
