I'm so excited!  We just made reservations at a campground close to the Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY.  Now we have to finalize the purchase of our 171.  We looked at one yesterday and will hopefully get it next week.  Thanks to this forum we feel very prepared although I'm sure there will be many surprises!  We've talked about this for so long and now it is really happening!Star

We are thinking of naming it the Taj-ma Pod.

We are looking forward to meeting other podders someday!

Welcome to the Forum and to 'Podding!  We are having a blast with our new 177.

Where in PA?  Close to Lewisburg?  I'm an alum.  (Of Bucknell, not the Federal Pen....)

Good to see another new owner.  Safe travels!

Welcome.   My 171 is up for grabs if you haven't signed on the dotted line yet.

I just found out that my husband put the deposit down when I was out this afternoon.  I guess he really didn't like tenting last weekend.  Now we have an October and a November trip planned.

Coopercdrkey ... We are from the Philadelphia Suburbs, about two hours from Bucknell.

Congratulations on your upcoming new family member!

We look forward to camping with you at a round up next year - we are looking at a campground called Oak Creek just off the PA pike near Bowmansville. It looks like we're getting a number of pods in the SE PA area.

Nascar ... For now our TV is a Honda Odyssey.  We just had the trans cooler installed and will be getting a class 3 hitch with weight distribution and sway control.

We are light travelers  and will be going out for long weekends. We are trying to be very conscientious about the weight of everything including our dishes, pots, and pans.  We don't want to max out( or even get close to) the tow capacity of 3,500.  After we are packed up we are hoping to have the pod weighed again so we know exactly what we are dealing with.
