I recently purchased a 2010 172 rpod.  Can someone show pics of where the bypass valves are located?  Also, does my rpod have the line to put into the antifreeze jug or do I need to pour antifreeze into my fresh tank and pull through the lines?  Thanks in advance for pics and help. I love my "peace" pod:)

Look on the outside to find where your water heater is located, then figure out how to get to it from the inside.  The bypass valves will be right behind the heater.  The antifreeze take-up hose/valve will be right behind your water pump, wherever that may be.  Easier to find that by listening for the noise when it comes on.  You should only need about 1 gallon of antifreeze when using the take-up hose.  You would need several gallons to get enough in the fresh water tank.

OhioJJ We have a 2011 172, its easy to winterize under the stove open the left side cabinet and remove the panel , 2 screws you will see the water pump and a plastic pipe about 1.5 feet long, stick the end in your antifreeze jug, open the valve and turn on the pump that will pull the a/freeze into the system.

First you turn the bypass switches right?  Where are they?

   The bypass valves are right behind the hot water heater, not sure where that is on your model. You do not want to put anti freeze in the hot water heater. With the valve handle running the same way as the pipe, the valve is open, with the valve handle across the pipe, the valve is closed. Close the valves on the water lines going into and out of the water heater and open the valve on the line that connects those two lines together. Hopes this makes sense.
   You will have to remove a panel somewhere behind the hotwater heater on the inside of the trailer to access the valves.   Goose

Techntrek is right, the hot water heater on the 172 is under the rear dinette seat cushion on the drivers side, remove the screws from the plywood and lift up, look at the valves going into the water heater turn all 3 180 degrees, take the pressure off of the water system, open the hot water heater access panel and drain the water heater, remove the sacrificial anode, inspect, replace if needed, retape it, put it back in and wait for spring.
