I'm wondering about the other creepy crawlers that inhabit swamps. When I lived near Galveston Bay, big rains would displace alligators and snakes. As a consequence one needs to be careful for a few days after flooding. Is there a problem like that where you are. Give the ducks and frogs our regards from dry Nevada. |

Well, I don't see bubbles rising from Terry's avatar, so I assume he's still above water.

We got our 20" of rain. There were places that got 25" though. Funny thing is when the rain left we set a new low temp. record. That was Thursday morning at 67*. Then by 2PM we were at 93*. Lots of flooding. Especially west of Jacksonville. They closed down I-10 because of flooding and a sink hole. One town was 80% flooded. They figure that because of the flat land it will take about 2 to 4 weeks for streams to get back to normal.
I did get worried when I saw some bearded guy building an ark! Terry After thought: There was a 43' boat tied at the dock in Saint Augustine that sank right there. Between the rain and wind driven waves she filled up and sank. They tried pumping it out with their bildge(SP?) pumps but couldn't keep up. |

LOL - on Noah, good to keep a bit of a sense of humor.
I know about the boats and the weight of water. My step son is a commercial fisherman in Cordova, Alaska, and with 20 feet of snow in the two weeks following New Years Day they had several boats sink or capsize from the weight.
Hope you get a little break to dry out!

Mid 90s + 20" of rain = muggy. Keep safe and cool, Terry. However, if you could send some of that rain northward it would be greatly appreciated.

Although we need that rain I would rather have seen it go out west. A ton of homes have been burned down!
