First trip with our 2013 R-Pod 177

We just got back from our first trip in our Pod.  We spent four days at the Cade's Cove campground in the  Great Smokey Mountains National Park.  We had a great time and had no issues with the camper.  We did have a problem with the sway bar.  I know nothing about anti sway bars.  The installer told me to tighten as tight as possible, which I did.  One end of the bar came off twice and the last time it came off, it bent the bracket that mounts to the camper tongue.  My guess is that I had it too tight.  Has anyone had this experience and just how tight do you make it?

Sandcamper, if yours is like mine, its real simple dont put it on while making sharp turns, backing etc, hook it up turn the lever to the right until it starts to get tight, then about 1/2 turn will work perfect. do not try to back up with it hooked up or you will bend it.

Ditto.  You don't want to crank it down as hard as you can.  The idea is to apply some friction but not too much.  Like others said, if you must make a sharp turn - like getting out of a gas station - or when you get to camp and are ready to back up, disconnect at least one end.  We had one on our popup and I found it was easier to unhook the TV end and hold it in place on the camper tongue with a bungee cord instead of taking off both ends.
