Topic: New Podders... Proud owners of a 2012 176 HRE Posted: 05 Apr 2012 at 2:28pm |
After looking, debating and wishing for quite a few years we finally
decided to pull the trigger and got our 3rd baby. Welcome Pea Pod or Pee Pod as
the girls in our family definitely appreciate the onboard facilities. We got a
176 for the slide out kitchen and the bunks for our 4 and 7 year old girls. We
have had it about a month and have already camped in it twice. We actually live
in the birthplace of the West coast HRE's Dallas, Oregon. So if you are coming
up, down or over to visit Forest River (hopefully for good reasons...) maybe
give me a shout. I have appreciated all the info on this forum and now being an
owner hope I can help out others too.

Welcome. Nice pic. I like that the new pods come with a utility light on the front.

HI there! We too are new, we are kind of retired but got jobs working in Yellowstone National Park for the summer, that is why we sold our fold down and got the Pod! It is just the three of us, Randy, myself and our Yorkie puppy- Rocky. We bought the 171, because of its "storage". We camped for the first trial run a couple of weeks ago. ALL went well. Later in this week we are going to try the R Dome in front of our house, that will get the neighbors awake!!
