Topic: New to List Posted: 14 Mar 2012 at 2:13pm |
Hello all, Just picked-up a 2010 171 Pod.......my wife and I live in CO and expect to use our camper many times this Summer as well as many more Summers to come. I am about to order the riser kit and need to know if anyone on the list has actually performed the "operation" and can give me some do's and don't's to make the job go as smoothly as possible. Thanks for your help and I think you've got a great list/resource here. Let me know if I need to do anything differently when I post. John Britton

Welcome. You can do a search for one of the several threads on the risers (some with to-do info), look for Search in the upper-right corner of your screen. If I get a chance later I'll take a look if you haven't found anything.

I'll give you the same advice that I was given when I got my axle risers. I actually took that advice and have been happy with my decision.
#1 - purchase the riser.
#2 - take R-Pod to the dealer that has your riser.
#3 - go to breakfast.
#4 - come back in an hour and take your risen R-Pod home with you.
Cost me about $75 or $100 in labor and was well worth it for me, since I don't have jackstands, etc to do the job here at home.
:)
