The standard tube will fit a 10' hose, but it won't fit a 20' one or 2 10's. I know that people have put PVC piping to store the hose. I have not; I do store it in the pass through where the spare tire is at but close both ends so that odors are locked into the hose as much as possible.

Like some people I replaced the factory holder with one made from PVC fence post. Much happier with that, and it took very little time or materials.

I put mine in a lidded plastic bin and store it in the back pass through compartment. Some day I'll get around to using the fence post mod.

If you replace your hose carrier with a pvc 'fence post' determine whether or not a 4inch post will fit the hose. A 4 inch diameter tube will not fit the drain hose if you have plastic fittings on the ends of the hose. After following the suggestions of several forum posts, I was going to use a 4 inch diameter plastic post. The drain hose is 4 inches. I also have plastic end fittings on the hose to connect to the drain gate valve and an elbow for the other end. A 4 inch tube wouldn't hold the hose. I found a post that was slightly larger (about 5 inches). Now the hose will fit even with the plastic end fittings.

Tidalwave is correct, the 4 inch pvc fence post will not work, the next size up (4 3/4-5) works great, even has end caps to fit. I have one installed under my battery and painted it black, it looks nice!

I put one on our 176 under the pass through. I sprayed it with black truck bed paint from Walmart. Minimal time & effort to construct.
