I just made reservations for our first road trip with the pod in 2012.  We will be at Fort Massac State Park in April.  Dar is a quilter and there is a national quilt show in Paducah, KY.  She will attend that, and I will explore the area and do a little spring fishing.

We bought the Pod in April, used it five months and put it in storage in September.  October was a beautiful month this year and we could have had at least two more weekends out.  Next year we will push the seasons a little.

So now, until April, our camping adventures will be through the warm country posts found here, and we will be planning mods and trips for next year.

You could always travel south for a little winter trip.

You might think of a trip to Louisville, Ky , I think the state fair is in july or august, they have a big quilt show at the Ky State fair grounds, there are several places to camp in this area, We live in southern indiana about 20 minutes to Louisville.  My wife has a friend that has won 1st place several times in the Ky State Fair. I have one of my Great Grandmothers original quilts ( in rough shape) but its mine and not for sale, some of the old ones were plain, but functional. they sure keep you warm on a winter night a sleepin on a feather tick in an unheated Indiana farm house upstairs bedroom dreaming about Christmas Morning as I did on my Grandpa and Grandma's farm as a youngster, those were the best times.

We took our last trip this weekend to Lowden State Park in Oregon, Illinois.  Other than for some problems with the electric in ¡Podtástic!, it was a great Saturday.  The sky was sunny with the temperatures in the upper 50s.

We got her dropped off at Collier RV in Rockford to be winterized and to check out the converter that they're suspecting may be defective.  I'm hoping that the GCI outlet by the sink is weak and is the culprit.

As we were driving to Rockford yesterday, we both commented about how it was good to take the chance with October, especially with all of the snow that fell on the east coast.
