Codorus State Park is located near Hanover, PA. We'll be a part of the festivities this year, decorating and handing out tons of candy. Half of the campground gets closed off from 6-10 each night so everyone can walk around freely. If you are interested you can still get a site in the non-Halloween half, it is unlikely any sites are left in the party sections. Or you can drive in, the cost is a $10 donation. All funds go to towards maintenance and improvements by the Friends-of-Codorus organization.

Wow, now they are talking about 5-9 inches of snow on Saturday!

I think everyone came tonight, we gave out more candy tonight than we gave out both nights last year. I'm betting they are going to cancel tomorrow's activities.

Tech, according to the weather channel, the northeast is getting snow now.  How about you Tech -- are you getting snow in your part of Maryland?  It sure seems awfully early in the season for that.  Stay safe and warm.  What a Halloween weekend!
It's a beautiful, crisp, chilly day here in the south, and just a little windy.  I'm looking out the window at the horses grazing in the pasture and the beautiful yellow gold maple leaves on the trees.  Going out to putter in the Pod.  Next weekend is my last camping trip, then I winterize.

Things were getting bad in southern PA so we (along with many others in Codorus) bailed this morning. I was worried about getting home but we made it ok. Thing improved as we went south, with less on the ground at home just 20 minutes away. We heard word-of-mouth that things were going to be canceled anyway so no loss.

The snow is ending right now with several inches on the ground. A very, very heavy snow, I'm sure we'll be seeing news reports of massive power outages north of the MD/PA border up to NY. My wife remembers snow in October once before now, I don't. This is very unusual. The temps will be a few degrees below freezing tonight and tomorrow, I've left the heat on low in the pod to keep most of it protected, although the tanks and exposed lines below aren't. Only hoping for the best at this point.

Glad to hear you made it home OK.  I too was watching the Weather Channel.  Hopefully, it won't get too cold and all will be OK.

Friends of ours that live 5 minutes from the park say they got 8 inches, and several trees on their property came down. Very glad we came home.
