They both show a spoiler, but looks like in a slightly different location. Truthfully, I can't see much difference.

Those are the simulations done by member Outbound.  I don't see a spoiler in the video labeled #1, and it shows lots of turbulence close the rear of the pod.  The one labeled #2 has a spoiler in about the position that FR put one, and it shows the turbulence pushed out several feet behind the pod.

Here is the one w/o a spoiler:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=4HLBy-ui_FI

Yep, I goofed and put the wrong link in.  Thanks for posting the correct one! :-)

I wonder what it would look like with a spoiler on the back of the tow vehicle?

I've considered adding a temporary spoiler to the pod to make some real-world tests - by adding a support beam from the spare tire to take the load, and then straps across the top to give it stability.

Has there been any testimonials of owners that have had the spoiler added? Does it increase mileage or is it more stable ? Just wondering.

No noticible differences on my R-Pod between towing with it before, and now that FR has put the spoiler on.   Gas mileage is the same.
Scale is really off in the flow diagram above, as the light bar doesn't stick out anywhere near that far.
