Another Sunday, another PawPod mod. I installed an Odyssey electric tongue jack, battery disconnect switch, and bigger tongue box.

First I built up a pressure treated frame.

Here is a fast forward, the tongue box is mounted, the battery is back in with the disconnect switch and wiring for the jack hooked up.

Here's a front on shot of the tongue jack,

And a side on view,

I hope this inspires some more mods for people, email with any questions. Hope you like it!

Karl

Looking good.  Is that a cooler you used?

You'll love the electric tongue jack.

When I went from my R-Pod to the Trailmanor Elkmont, it happened to be equipped with an electric tongue jack.  "What a waste", I thought.  I could not have been more wrong.

It's great for leveling the trailer.  Makes the job a snap.  Also, if you use a weight distribution hitch, it makes the set-up and removal of the WDH much easier and faster.

The tongue box was a storage tub I stumbled across at a Sear's store. It seemed to have the perfect dimensions so I tried it. One downside is no way to secure the lid really good, but I'm working on it.
