If you're unsure, you should probably talk to a local towing specialist.  Depending on your vehicle, you may want to consider a weight distributing hitch (WDH) with sway control.

I have had big trucks fly by me with no effect.  But that doesn't mean somewhere down the road I wouldn't wish I had one.  My Jeep Liberty seems to control it just fine.  One thing that helps me is the heavy duty suspension I have for off road.  Plus it weighs 1/2 ton more than a stock Liberty!

Welcome to the board!  What will you be using as a tow vehicle?

I recently installed a friction type sway bar on our 177. On the of the page on the following link there is a section on sway control. Hope it helps.

Depends on you TV whether you need one or not. If you do, just about any sway control will do.
