My wife Barbara and I have transitioned from our 1968 Airstream 17' Caravel which we used for 16 years to a R Pod 173. The Airstream hade no gray water tank and only a 8 gal Black tank and was in need of upgrading. We saw the R Pod and felt it was a good fit and the 173 model is exactly the layout we wanted. We got the Hood River Edition from Ketelsen RV in Denver who treated us very well. Now if Spring would come to Colorado we can get out and use it. I have some interesting information on necessity of a surge protector which I shall post soon.

Welcome, welcome---we just picked up our 176T yesterday. Hope you are as excited as we are to be new owners.
I will post pictures soon. We want to go on record that the "owner's manual" is . If I had not found this forum with all the tips and guidance, we would probably still be sitting at the dealership trying to figure everything out! (Our "walk through" guy at the dealership clearly never saw an RPod before---very uncool and very unhelpful). However, nothing has dampened our enthusiasm for our new pod--we will take our time and sort things out.

Welcome !
you got an "owner's manual"? Wow I got a pile of useless paperwork! problem is they write the information very generic and then when they put parts in it can differ by models (Example is the Microwave was a 2100 or 2200 model) (not the 2100 model we went through 3 units before being given a 2200 model) Also from model year or time they build a model they may change some items. Example in the early 2009 rpod 171 the water pump is under the sink and in later models of the 171 they moved it back to the water heater area under the bed so writing the manual gets harder.
Any questions feel free to ask as I'm sure someone here will be able to answer.

Welcome to the group! You'll find the nicest group of people willing to help dispense advice on what to do. I've learned a lot from here, and I can't wait to get out in ¡Podtástic! soon.

someone posted a two part video of their dealer walkthrough on youtube - you could always look for that if your guy wasn't very good

And, I'll add my own welcome! Ask and we shall answer - or at least fake it.
