TongueWe just got our 175 last month. The owners information that came with it from the factory is a little disappointing, but we are really exciting about taking our first trip. We do have two questions.

1. Where do you find the model /serial number on the ac unit. Is it up on top. We can't find it inside the pod to find out more about using a generator.
2. I've posted this before and I know there has been a lot of discussion about generators, but, will the Honda EU 2000i run the a/c or the microwave/convection. (One at a time of course, not both at once).
Thanks

I'm sure someone here will answer your generator question.  We haven't bought one yet.  Congrats on the new Pod!

The EU 2000 most likely will run the A/C.  I say most likely because you may find its fine at sea level on an 80 degree day.  Then again your genset may be a little weak compared to its brothers and it might not work.  Or the A/C isn't as easy to start as its brothers - maybe it got a little too much refrigerant or the compressor is a little weak.

Getting back to the "good at sea level and 80 degrees" part.  As you go up into the mountains gas engines loose power (less air pressure = less oxygen).  Also as it gets hotter engines loose power.  So if its 90 degrees and you are up 3000 feet its possible the combination won't work.  2000 watts is on the edge of OK.

I don't think its enough to overcome the startup surge on the microwave, but its worth a try.

We have the 2000i and did run "just" the A/C for a few hours with no problems.  We have not used it with the microwave that we can recall.

That would be cutting it a little close.  One person runs 2 of them and it works.  Myself I would get a larger one.
