I'm actively looking for either a used 171, a 172 or a 175.  Not willing to pay price of a new one, but I'm a legitimate cash buyer that's willing to buy now within 600 miles of NE PA.  If interested in serious discussion, pls feel free to reply...  email is lawrencesc@aol.com

As new as the Pod is there won't be many used ones out there.  Good luck!Smile

Terry,

Actually, there have been quite a few for sale.  But, it seems everyone so far has taken out loans for the full purchase amount and are basically asking full retail price for their used camper.  I can certainly understand someone not wanting to incur a loss, but in my mind, "used is used".  I
question what's going on with price expectations since I can buy a new R-Pod with a full warrantee and more options/updates at the same or better price vs these used trailers.  I could understand it if there was a scaricity, but new trailers are readily available from several dealers at prices below the used ones.

It's a plain fact that campers depreciate, and I think it patently unwise for me to pay more than something's actually worth.  As such, I intend to be patient and wait for someone willing to negotiate fairly.  If not, I always have the option of just buying new.

You are 100% right.  It would be foolish to pay full price for a used unit.  I would think anyone selling that way won't be selling it either!

True in general, but the 'pods are in high demand right now so I would expect a high resale value.  Give it a year and you'll see normal market rules apply.  In the mean time you might find someone selling in "fire sale" mode, due to a job loss or other economic distress.  I wish you the best and hope to hear about your success.
