I don't know about the door, but one of those would be great in each bunk in the 172.

I like it. I'm not sure of the mounting depth. "Flange Distance to Edge: 5/8 in (15.9 mm)" seems like it is, but I'm not sure.

As for the door I don't think there is a reason why it couldn't be done. The same goes for the sides where it's flat. Just be sure to use the rounded corners windows that RV's use. If you don't you will have problems.

I just rechecked the link and it has a reversible mounting flange that adjusts for either 1/8" or 1 1/2" walls. Would likely need to adapt something for 2" door thickness... Unless the door is not as thick than the 2" sidewalls...?

HuronSailor those look like the ones I photo shopped. Can't find it now, but someone posted that windows in the walls was a big no no according to forest river (can't remember if the said door too). Figure I'll wait till Podterfly is all mine (and not the banks) and out of warranty. I think the round window would be great, and would be fantastic if it opened to get cross ventilation.
Meanwhile have a friend looking into a deal for the camera. Lee

That would be a nice addition. I'm going to contact our dealer to see if a window can be added and if they will do it and the cost.
