No, I was just pointing out that the door can't be supporting anything above it. So cutting a hole in it wouldn't hurt anything. My guess would be that there is 2 supports going sideways within the door. That would make 3 cavities in the door. If the skin on the inside part of the door could be removed a lot of questions could be answered. Terry

Looks like a standard RV door to me, we might be able to track down the window that is in the other ones I've seen.

There isn't any support for anything in the door so I can't see where there would be a problem. Even if it didn't open it would be nice to have.

I wonder if anyone has looked into doing this. The windows in RVs do not seem to be all that complex to install. The two biggest obstacles would seem to be; finding the right size of window, and then, mustering the courage to saw a window sized hole in one's door.

It would be so nice to have a window in the door of the 172's to add some light into the pod. To be able to open it would be nice too.
