NORAD is confirming departure of the Jolly Old Elf, from the North Pole. You can track his progress here: Santa If you are not familiar with this, click on the lower left icon (NORAD HQ) and then click on "Secret Santa Files". I suspect that, as I write, Canadian and American fighter jets are being fueled/readied to provide escort - once he reaches North American air space. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL !!! |

Though presently underway, with over 1/2 billion gifts delivered and approaching Birobidzhan, Russia, video footage of his early morning "launch" can be viewed by clicking on "Movies" and then clicking on "Initial Spotting". It is quite impressive, indeed! |

Great! I woke up way too early this morning (3am) and saw that he had already been to your area. At the time, he was wrapping up the West coast - finishing in Hawaii and Pacific. Another great job by the North American Aerospace Defense Command in keeping up with ol' St. Nick. It is amazing what they can "see" with satellite imagery and such. I could actually see the glow of Rudolph's nose! Until next year........
